I'd been thinking I should probably hold an artillery review and then David twisted my arm by commenting that he'd like to see the whole artillery park. First up then is the Anglo-Allied gun line.

A pretty impressive force to hold those French columns at bay. It strikes me though that I am missing a limber for the Brunswick Horse Artillery and possibly (just possibly) I could do with another Foot Battery to bring the count up to an even eight guns.

Cool as, so iconic. Takes me back to looking in the two model shop windows in Ipswich at the start of the 1970's, drooling of the wargame figures in the windows.

Shame to see the little British metal men are just as arrogant as their flesh and blood forbears and have relegated the allied batteries to the second rank. Could be a risky move as if they're sufficiently nettled about it they're in an ideal position to make their feelings felt.

A very fine display. Is it a 'walk in the park', artillery park that is?
The RHAs helmets are so smart and the trouser stripes on the allied gunners are pretty nifty too. It almost seems a shame to send them from the Inspection Parade to the battle field but I guess that will be their fate.
Do we get to see the Emperor's gun line next?

That's the ticket! A very impressive and daunting display of firepower. I love that you have included Ramsay and Mercer as personality figures. What was the figure code for those if I may ask? You have opened a can of worms however, and now I am afraid I will not be able to rest until I have a Brunswick battery as well. Did Marcus make Brunswick artillery figures or are those converted with head swaps?
David, We believe that Ramsay and Mercer are conversions by Peter Gilder but the base figure is unknown. They came from the Eric Knowles collection via Tony. The Brunswickers are Hinton Hunt RHA with head swaps!
