Guard Cavalry Review - 2

It's just under a year ago (click here) that I confidently announced that the French Guard Cavalry was now 'complete'. However, to be fair, I did add that this was subject to me ever finding enough Guard Chasseur-a-Cheval figures to make up a unit. Anyway, here they are again!

The full Guard Cavalry Division, Light Brigade to the front, Heavy Brigade in rear - 60 figures in total.

The Lancers - combined Red Lancers and Poles.

Chasseur-a-Cheval.

The yummy Eclaireurs!

The Empress' Dragoons.

The Horse Grenadiers.

This time they really are complete...

A lovely parade - and then some.

What a splendid sight. I'm not sure what you can do to equal la gloire of these.
Have you another force you'd like to complete like this - Russian Guard, Neopolitan Army - or is it more a case of one unit at a time and see where it goes.
Wherever you and your blog lead I'll be happy to follow.
Great parade.
Stephen

Oui Matt!

Thanks Donnie, they do look rather colourful.

Thanks Norm, glad you like them.

Thanks Stephen. I have some more French line cavalry but other than that no particular plan. Russian cavalry is a rare find and I have no heavies although I do have one more light. Next though I need to continue working on French line infantry.

Congratulations, Ian. They are a fabulous sight, and to have "completed" the Garde cavalry...now, where is my unpainted Habsburg dragoon pile?

Thanks Willz!

Rob, I must admit I’m quite impressed myself!

Stryker said...

Nigel, your dragoon pile doesn’t scare these lads…not much anyway!

Now that is an inspirational sight! So much so there might finally be a guard cavalry unit on my painting desk, which is 100% your fault!

Glad you like them David!
