Morale boost
I still had all the troops on the table from the playtest last week so thought I'd take a few snaps to lift the morale of any of you idling at home (like me).
Well, idling at home is my normal mood but that didn't lessen my enjoyment. Wargaming with hordes (well ordered hordes) of shiny classic figures! The REAL thing! Almost enough to....well, feel nostalgic and satisfied at the same time.
Thanks - a nice cheery boost. I was idling (working) at home but the last two days have seen everyone else getting into the new ways of working and the emails and telecons are rapidly multiplying and I now seem almost busier than at work.
The Archduke's morale is definitely lifted, especially by the brave sight of the Hoch und Deutschmeister and the splendid Splenys, obviously. Thanks, Ian.
Stryker, I'm about to paint up a figure for Stapleton-Cotton but can't find any reference to yellow boots as per you post of Tuesday, 25 January 2011 about the "Lion d’Or". Do you have a source for this or is reasonable (and showy) conjecture?

Stryker - Thanks! I've got literally hundreds of books on the Napoleonic Wars including Blandford's Uniforms of the Peninsular War, but only searched the Internet for images! I must make better use of my books - anyway Blandfords are also nostalgia from my perspective so for me they are a perfect authority for a nostalgia project. Yellow boots it is!
Oh those Brunswickers! I really must find a way to do a unit of them! Thanks for sharing as it is indeed a lift up! Like Matthew said, I will try to do my part as well.
Thanks for the pics, I always look forward to seeing your posts. Just painting some Clayton cuirassiers at the moment which I bought in 1994! How time flies. I may even get the wargame table out. Best wishes Simon

Seeing glossy old school figures defending an Airfix cottage certainly boosts my morale!
Rob, working from home gets some getting used to and certainly takes more than 2 days to adjust!
