Following the rapid expansion of the Austrian infantry and cavalry forces this year I felt it would be a good idea to also add to the artillery contingent. I've been able to do this once again thanks to the generosity of Don W.
The figures are a mixture of Hinton Hunt and DK castings that have been refurbished by me in a style that fits in with my existing two batteries. The guns are all original Hinton Hunt ones.
I have a limber to do and then there will be a full parade of the whole six batteries.

That is anther impressive addition to the Austrian ranks
Thanks Matt, I’ve been very lucky to have been given enough figures to do this!
Four new batteries in one fell swoop! Your Austrians are going to be really formidable now.
Great work Ian - they look splendid, and I'm sure will do dreadful damage in action! Did DK add any Austrian artillery figures beyond the HH range?
Lovely looking artillery, the Austrian uniform is so iconic, they should be very formidable on the table.
Thanks Matthew, this time last year I never expected to have such a big Austrian force you just don’t know how things will go with this vintage figure lark!
Thanks Tony, this is one of those occasions where the DK’s are straight copies of the Hinton Hunt ones and no other poses were added. They are virtually indistinguishable from each other.
Thanks Donnie, these chaps should give the French a run for their money!
Another great looking unit. Their yellow paintwork is really striking if you'll forgive the pun.
Guns, guns and more guns - that's the way to do it. But ... probably need another couple of battalions to guard them - perhaps some fusiliers in helmets?
Thanks Simon, yellow cannons what's not to like?
Thanks Rob, it would be nice but HH never made any figures in helmets.
Oh my goodness, but that is quite the expansion in firepower! Woe unto the French who advance on that line of canons. These are really lovely. the shiny browns and yellows really work well together. Nicely done!
Thanks David, finally something to worry the French I think!
Can only be to the good. Just think of the damage they did at Aspern....
Hmm, not much I think Nigel…
