Matt G painted this unit in its first incarnation back in 2011 (click here) and I have brought it up to strength with the addition of a further 6 figures. Hopefully they will finally get some long overdue table time.

Crikey, six years ago. I've probably got undercoated figures still from the same paint desk still!
Six years but they're looking good Matt!
Lovely, lovely, lovely. You've got Leapers de luxe, there, Ian!
WM
Thanks WM!
Lovely, nice to see you adding more and more. Maybe bump into you at claymore if your there?
They look bonny in yellow and green. This is one of the classic Hinton Hunt poses although I am sure mentioned that some these are DKers.
I have 8 of these HH figures in my Oxfam find.
A fine unit Ian.
Paul - unfortunately won't be at Claymore as heading south of the border that weekend.
Mark - actually these are all vintage HH although some have miscast plumes, a lot of original figure were not exactly A1 castings!
Everyone must have a unit of voltigeurs, rare though they were. Like the unit of Nassau grenadiers of light infantry chasseur elites, and the 1809 units of combined grenadiers and the foot dragoons they must appear in every collector.'s orbat.
Now what do the elite companies in a unit of voltigeurs look like??
They look great and only 6 years in the making? Sounds reasonable to me, certainly my time scale at one period!
Best Iain
Iain - they have matured like a good wine!
Am I getting the message that it's worth hanging around the Ilkley Oxfam shop? I've spent many hours of my life wandering forlorn around charity shops and the only time I ever found HHs, they were from my own army, which I had foolishly left at a "friend's" house.........
I live in hope of finding some of the Hinton Hunt Prussians from my 1974 army languishing in the dusty corner of a charity shop - not very likely!
I am expecting to see queues of Hinton Hunters camping out overnight equipped with sleeping bags and thermos flasks ready for opening time.
Don't forget to bring your guitar Mark!
