I have to confess that I'm quite surprised at just how many gun batteries there are in total so I think I can say with some confidence that the artillery for this project is complete.

You might be right there, you certainly don't need any more British guns - in fact the only gap that would be nice to fill is some French line horse artillery.

Superb, lovely work and they look brilliant, may have to revise my previous comment on the Brits giving the Frenchies a battering though, they look a formidable force!

It's good to see the rest of your guns though perhaps you're not done yet - I guess it depends what turns up and becomes available. It does free you to concentrate on the foot and horse.
I always think the uniform of the French train drivers looks very smart.
I'm always surprised that the Prussian shakos in covers look smart - you'd have thought it would be a bit scruffy or dull but it just looks business-like.

Thanks Stephen, I do have a few more guns and crews in the lead pile but I think the existing 8 batteries per side is plenty to field on my 8’ x 4’ table!

Now that is a proper grand battery. How does anything move on the board without getting shot to pieces? The two French batteries in the vimeiro game were rather devastating at times. I'd hate to think what all eight lined up could do!!!! Dangerous and beautiful - a lethal combination. Reminds me of Scarlet Johansen...

David, artillery in M&M can be a bit lethal as you say. Eight batteries per side is really the limit on an 8’x4’ table!
A couple of grand batteries there; even if the allied one would never get to serve together!
