The madness continues

So, I’m back painting Hintons after a bit of a break and it’s on with the effort to reduce the French FN/5 Fusilier lead mountain. This next unit will nominally represent the 33rd Line infantry regiment.

They’ve been on the desk for a while, but various distractions have meant I’m only just a bit over halfway through them. I’m going to pull my socks up and crack on with them now that storm Babet has eased and allowed reoccupation of the Hinton Hut.

Thanks Tony, I’ve lost count of how many of this figure I have painted over the years!

Nice work there on the Hinton Infantry IAN- you certainly are able to do very detailed painting- just fantastic!

Thanks Kev, I’m always a bit disappointed with my efforts when I zoom in on a photo however they look passable when viewed from playing distance on the table.

If you ever need someone to help you shrink that FN5 mountain... ;o)

Good choice, a fine regiment.

Rob, if the day comes you'll have first shout!

Robbie, the figures I'm using came from the Neville Dickinson collection and these were from a unit that had a big "33" painted on the flag so it felt right to keep the unit designation.

I thought of your hut when I read about Storm Babet a couple of days ago. I'm very glad it survived! Your 33rds are coming along splendidly.
All the best

Thanks Matt!

WM, fortunately the wind was in the wrong direction to cause any damage to the Hut this time!

Those are lovely Ian. So glad you have made the pompoms properly vibrant for that little extra splash of colour. Nice!
