Simultaneous with Wellington’s strike at Southampton, Lord Hill was ordered to attack the French at Andover. This caught Napoleon slightly off guard forcing him to field the already depleted commands of Murat, Ney and D’Hilliers – by God this man does wargaming honour!

The initial deployment of the armies. |
Daddy Hill by his grand battery. I'm thinking that the British plan is to blast my cavalry off the table. |
Which might not be too difficult when you look at the gaps in the ranks after their tussle with the Naval Battalion (thank goodness they're not on the field this time!) |
Brunswick and Stapleton-Cotton are in their first battle of the campaign and all fresh and dandy. |
VP’s will be awarded on the same basis as the previous battle.

Rats! They've rumbled my plan! Still got to dodge those cannonballs though...
Yes, and quite difficult on a horse!
Lovely looking set-up Ian.

This proves, in the most marvellous way, that you don’t need hordes of figures for a good campaign or entertaining games. If Daddy does well, he can stop off at Amport and buy the lads a pint at the Hawk Inn.
Jeffers, the context of the campaign is certainly making these small games fun to play.
If the Brunswickers can shoot as well as the French, Napoleon will soon be in a little inflatable pursued by a border force cutter. On the other hand,.....more genius. Thanks for this great show that keeps on giving, Ian.
Nigel, just remember we still haven't seen the Old Guard!
Oh crumbs. As the Archduke says, you're a genius Ian. It's a new tabletop teaser with every episode.
Yet another interesting game your campaign has produced. That is a lot of artillery the British have amassed but with the victory points positioned where they are they cant sit back and rely on bombardment alone.
WM, each of these scenarios have thrown up situations I would never have dreamed up, as a system it seems to be working well.
Mark, as he is the strategic attacker Rob gets to see my deployment before he makes his own. I was sure he would put his artillery on the hill but he has played a blinder effectively neutralising my cavalry!
Seems to me the French will have a tall order on this one, but then their luck is bound to change. Have you considered using "special" dice for the French?
David, I think it will take more than special dice to save the French on this occasion!
