As there are no Russian Generals in my collection the duty of presenting the colours fell to Marshal Blucher. "Here mein children take zis early Christmas present!" |
The regiment is proud as punch, they've only been waiting since 2006! |
Off they go, drums beating and flag snapping in the wind. There'll be a few miniature bottles of vodka consumed at the barracks tonight. |
Thanks to Tzar Alexander and WM for making this possible.

Well worth waiting for a smart flag for a smart unit .
I am sure the drummer has a smile on his face and why not when you unit has received a WM flag.
Good things come to those who wait!
Pazdravlayoo!
Spasibo!
Receiving their colours from Blucher must surely mean that they're permanently attached to the Prussian army, Ian. I hope so, as they ought to be given the opportunity to do a lot more smiting!
It was a real honour to be asked to contribute to your wonderful armies, Ian, and this regiment in particular.
Best regards
Matt
The will be serving in the Swedish division which will indeed be attached to Blucher's Prussians!
Is it just me or are they standing just a bit taller today?
Proudly proud with a flag to be proud of.
Ross, I think you're right they look more like 21mm now!
Precise height in millimeters notwithstanding, they and theoir new standard are magnificent!
Best Regards,
Stokes
Thanks Stokes, I suppose that being Grenadiers they should be at least a millimetre taller than the other troops already!
Another fine unit, great choice of uniform green shade and the red facings contrast so well.
What a beautiful parade, lovely colors!
Doubtless their colonel is a Count Hubris. There they go puffing themselves up flaunting their flag an super paint job. I reality they aere not the Pavlovkis or the Zismailovskis! They won't look so clever when they have to face the Vielles Gardes!
😉
Roy, well as it happens I do have some Pavlovs in the paint queue!
Always liked the Pavlovs, especially the raspberry ones... ;-)
Almost as yummy as Eclaireurs!
Well, LG, they looked pretty damned effective to my Swiss regiment at Stryker's birthday bash. I reckon these guys well deserve their WM colour and their new found 1mm...
Lovely looking Russians, like the flag
Paul
Thanks Paul!
