In 1815 they are shown in a light blue coat, but the white had a longer period of use. I think the Archduke is spot on with his elite dragoon idea and I just wonder if I have any spare as the idea of them in their blue uniforms is very attractive! Its a pity that HH are not still made! I think the bearskin is the standard wear from revolutionary times until the 1810 uniform with the helmet so there may never have been bicorne carabiniers?<br />lewisgunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01935143236897047636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875985959507775409.post-77980816415023071252015-07-13T23:58:31.129+01:002015-07-13T23:58:31.129+01:00Lovely Ian, well done the look superb!Lovely Ian, well done the look superb!Paulalbahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03482911273863430204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875985959507775409.post-1202036992513105832015-07-13T12:53:31.860+01:002015-07-13T12:53:31.860+01:00Lovely Ian and with the other units pictured in th...Lovely Ian and with the other units pictured in the post below, they are gonna be a most impressive sight on the tabletop!James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875985959507775409.post-7341890319293621742015-07-12T11:19:27.148+01:002015-07-12T11:19:27.148+01:00I'm venturing a reply to Dave, the experts hav...I'm venturing a reply to Dave, the experts having remained silent. I don't know when the carabiniers wore bicornes and I don't know of any HH figure that would represent that. Prior to 1810 they wore bearskins, which I think you could depict using the dismountable elite dragoon figure. That would give you a line horse, thus avoiding the guard horse furniture of the horse grenadier figure.the Archdukenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875985959507775409.post-66911239058726263912015-07-11T18:03:14.329+01:002015-07-11T18:03:14.329+01:00Superb! Just remember the old Historex catalogue which was basically a great source for uniforms back in the early 70's.mojoworkinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06755579098528760602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875985959507775409.post-16593781451638339162015-07-11T14:15:58.384+01:002015-07-11T14:15:58.384+01:00Thanks for comments lads!
